Ingredients:
- Shrimp (1 lb)
- Cornmeal (2 cups)
- Buttermilk (1 cup)
- Cajun Seasoning (3 tsp)
- Seasoning Salt (3 tsp)
- Garlic Powder (3 tsp)
- Vegetable Oil
1. Peel shrimp leaving only the tail.
2. In a medium bowl mix together Cornmeal, cajun seasoning, seasoning salt, and garlic powder.
3. Pour buttermilk in a small bowl.
4. With tongs, dip each shrimp in the buttermilk and then lightly coat in cornmeal mix.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a medium-sized pan.
5. Once all the shrimp are coated, place in pan and cook until light brown. (About 3 minutes). Be sure to flip shrimp halfway through.
Serve with your choice of dipping sauce. (Tarter sauce is shown in picture).
